Where is Bloodstone in Fable?
Bloodstone stands on Bloodland Bay in the north of Albion. The Developer_Direct of Jan 22, 2026 described the north as "mountains, craggy coastlines, spooky marshes" and Bloodstone. The spooky marsh nearest it in Playground's posts is Wraithmarsh, also in the northern wilds (official site, Oct 27, 2026). Playground has not published a map, as of Nov 1, 2026; every named place is on Albion.
Who rules Bloodstone?
Two heirs fight over it. Xbox's cast list, introduced by Craig Owens, Associate Narrative Director, names "two feuding heirs" (Xbox Wire, Jun 7, 2026):
- Jenny, played by Natasia Demetriou, is "brutal, crude, and shameless" and "embodies Bloodstone as it is".
- Jacob, her brother, played by Nathan Foad, is "a refined and more classy type of cutthroat" who "hopes to reinvent the city as a cosmopolitan rival to Bowerstone".
The Developer_Direct calls them "the leaders of two rival gangs vying for power". Whether the Hero must side with one of them, and what follows, has not been said, as of Nov 1, 2026. Everyone named so far is on Characters, and the actors on Voice Cast.
What is the Cult of Shadows?
The Developer_Direct says that in Bloodstone the Hero will "uncover the secrets of the sinister, but extremely well-organized Cult of Shadows" in GameSpot's upload of the segment. Playground has said nothing more about it, as of Nov 1, 2026. It is a different group from the "ancient cult" of the post-launch expansion, which is set "in a new region of Albion" (official site, Jun 7, 2026); that one is on Order of the Hero.
Bloodstone in the history of Albion
Playground's in-world "History of Albion", written as extracts from the deliberately unreliable historian Brian Bifford, says the Hero of Blood founded Bloodstone on Bloodland Bay while the Hero of Bower founded Bowerstone in the south, "two capitals for Albion". The two cities "fell out immediately" and fought three Blood and Bower Wars, a rivalry that "continues to this day" (official site, Sep 21, 2026). The same history lists Bloodstone Castle beside the Sea Wall and Pyke's Beacon among the "great masterworks of magical engineering" of the Old Kingdom's Heroes. Jacob's wish to make his city a rival to Bowerstone carries that old feud into the present. The rest is on Lore and History of Albion.
Bloodstone in Fable 2
Bloodstone is an old name in the series: Fable 2 (2008) had a Bloodstone in its north, reached from Wraithmarsh, with one of that game's nine Demon Doors at the northern end of its map (GameBanshee). The 2027 game is a reboot, "a new beginning" with its own Albion, so its Bloodstone, its heirs and its history are Playground's own (Fable Series).
