Jack of Blades
The Jack of Blades, the masked villain of the original Fable (2004), returns in the 2027 reboot: Xbox said the Jun 7, 2026 trailer "teased the return of the legendary Jack of Blades", and that his role will be revealed later.
The Jack of Blades, the masked villain of the first Fable game in 2004, returns in the new Fable: Xbox wrote that the story trailer of Jun 7, 2026 "teased the return of the legendary Jack of Blades", and that his role in the game "will be revealed later" (Xbox Wire). Playground's own post called the trailer's shot "a first glimpse of the Jack of Blades" and said the Hero will face threats beyond Isabel (official site). As of Oct 21, 2026, nothing else about his part in the story has been announced.

The tease in 2026
The Jack of Blades appeared only briefly, in the trailer built around Isabel, the Hero of Wraithmarsh, at the Xbox Games Showcase of Jun 7, 2026 (Xbox Wire). Xbox and Playground have not said who he is in the new story, how he relates to Isabel; the one who turns the people of Briar Hill to stone is Isabel, as Ralph Fulton said on the Official Xbox Podcast of Sep 9, 2026 (Story). Screenshots and trailer shots of masked figures are not identified as him by Xbox or Playground, and this viki does not guess.
The Collector's Edition statuette
The Collector's Edition, announced on Jun 7, 2026, adds to the Premium Edition "a limited-edition Jack of Blades statuette", a hardcover art book, a SteelBook case and a Guild Seal lapel pin (official site). It sold out within about two weeks and will not be restocked (TheGamer, Jun 23, 2026; official FAQ). Every edition is on Editions and Pre-order Bonuses.
The Court of Blades in Albion's legends
Playground's in-world "History of Albion" (Part 1, Aug 10, 2026), written as extracts from the historian Brian Bifford, retells the legend of "the Court": the Jack of Blades, the Knight of Blades and the Queen of Blades, masked rulers from beyond Albion, overthrown when ordinary people gained magic through their Will and Heroes led by William Black rose against them. That began the age of Heroes. Bifford is deliberately unreliable: he suggests the Court story may be the Heroes' Guild's own propaganda, and says the Guildmaster refused to let him see the Court murals inside the Guild. More of that history is on Lore and History of Albion.
In the original Fable
In Lionhead's Fable (2004), the Jack of Blades was the main villain, a masked figure who pursues the Hero across Albion; the series' history is on Fable Series. The reboot is "not a remake or a sequel" (PlayStation Blog), so his return does not mean the 2004 story is retold.
